Developing Leaders to Impact the World
MODEL26 seeks to develop leaders that are aware of the causes of poverty and education disparities around the world and in the United States. These leaders have experienced the issues first–hand through volunteer opportunities and are, therefore, capable of addressing the needs of the people living in impoverished communities. They are sensitive to the needs of the people, making the solutions they present viable and more likely to actually solve the problem.

We are currently recruiting college students and young/new teachers to work with MODEL26 staff and one of our partner organizations, United for Kids Foundation, based in Nigeria, to develop teacher training and literacy programs for children. The selected candidates will also have the opportunity to travel to Nigeria to work with UKF to implement these programs. Applications can be downloaded from the website and e-mailed to applications@model26.org. Deadline to apply: April 15, 2012.
